Creating an email address exclusively for use with social accounts may be a good idea for many organizations.
It is not uncommon for organizations or individuals to create gmail or Yahoo! mail accounts specifically to use in social profiles. Having an exclusive email address for your social accounts can help:
- Manage correspondence that originates specifically from your social media efforts
- Cut down on spam on your organization email
- Keep a consistent email account that can be passed on to new social media managers
- Use for a company-only Facebook profile for whoever is presently in charge of your social media efforts
