So individuals begin to see themselves as successful if they get 1,000 followers on Twitter and not necessarily because they are a lawyer. People create themselves as experts through the power of social medial whilst real experts may have no social media presence.
The article also shows us 7 ways how we can value ourselves in real life – here are a few:
- If you have low self-esteem you will compare yourself to others. DON’T! Focus on yourself and what your strengths are.
- Align yourself with the right people, those people who are happy for you and encourage you to grow your potential.
- It’s important to be your own brand manager.
